Tessel Man is 27 years old and has been working as a midwife since 2014. Before she started as a midwife, she completed her training as a nurse. Because she wanted more independence and an even more challenging profession, she chose to follow the training for midwives with great pleasure. After the training, she worked in Almere for one and a half years and observed various practices in Amsterdam.
Personal care with extra time for her clients are essential points for Tessel to be able to practice her profession in a nice way. She still finds it very special how a person develops from a pregnancy. This involves so many uncertainties and emotions. That is why she thinks the most special and beautiful thing about this profession is to support and guide the pregnant woman and her partner who are in such a great life event and to give her confidence in this process.
